Beautiful Cottagecore-Themed Non-Toxic Gift Ideas
The cottagecore aesthetic and lifestyle can be described as cozy, inviting, nature-inspired, layered, charming, traditional, and a little whimsical. It is filled with family heirlooms, thrifted treasures, sustainable materials, and handmade goods. It romanticizes and idealizes a rural lifestyle, a slower pace of life, and embracing the present. Cottage style is definitely a favourite of mine!

The following gift ideas not only emulate the cottagecore style perfectly, but they are also healthy, non-toxic gifts. They use natural materials, nature-themed aesthetics, and are clutter-free. Perfect for the nature-lover, eco-conscious friend, and anyone craving a slower, simpler life. Give a healthy gift this season that will be truly appreciated and loved!
Special-Edition Anne of Green Gables Book
This is the classic and cherished story of Anne of Green Gables in a beautiful hardcover special edition design. It has an embossed floral cover and comes with a matching satin ribbon to use as a bookmark. Not only is this timeless story full of cottagecore themes, but it also looks beautiful on display.
It is a classic story to add to a book collection, and would also make a great gift for a wide range of ages. This book maker also sells other beautiful classics like Little Women.

Peach Lanolin Salve
This 100% natural lanolin salve is one of my all-time favourite skincare products. It is amazing for any time you need deep moisturization and protection. It can be used on your hands, lips, and is even great on nipples for breastfeeding moms. It’s perfect for soothing and protecting skin affected by eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis. The peach scent, made with natural peach flavor extract, smells amazing! (It also comes in unscented if needed.)
Plus, it comes in an adorable and reusable glass jar with a gold lid. The Prairie Farmapothecary branding is also adorable! They make several other additional products that a cottagecore fan will love too… like a beetroot bath soak and tallow balm.

Garden Facial Mist
Also one of my favourite all-time skincare products is this facial mist. It smells amazing, feels so refreshing, and has multiple purposes. The vintage botanical branding is gorgeous and very cottagecore.
It’s one of those skincare items that you didn’t know you needed until you tried it! It also comes in a lavender rose scent. Both are subtle and so lovely!
P.S. Their cocoa body butter is my favourite natural lotion and it also comes in so many amazing scents!

Glass Teapot
A cottage-style quintessential item! This glass and stainless steel kettle is completely non-toxic! It looks beautiful steeping loose leaf tea.

Organic PLASTIC-FREE Tea (free of microplastics)
Did you know that most tea bags leach billions of microplastics into your tea?! Yes, you read that right… I said billions (research link here).
How frustrating it is to think you are doing something healthy for your body, drinking an herbal tea, only to discover you are ingesting microplastics.
One of the easiest ways to combat this is to just use loose leaf tea. Make sure it is organic, and youโve got a wonderful gift on your hands! There are also multiple brands that make single-use tea bags that are plastic-free. Here are several options for both types:
- Numi Organic Tea- Countdown to Christmas Tea Advent Calendar (plastic-free tea bags)
- Earthly Herbs- Night Symphony Organic Loose Leaf Herbal Tea Blend
- Tea Rituals- Royal Cream Earl Grey Organic Black Tea Loose Leaf Tea
- Yogi Canada Organic Tea Sampler Gift Box (plastic-free tea bags)
- Pukka Organic Herbal Tea (plastic-free tea bags)
- Foothills Naturals Herbal Mocha Organic Loose Leaf Tea
- Celebration Herbals Organic Honeybush tea (plastic-free tea bags)

Beeswax Candle in Vintage Teacup
Candles are a cottage style must, and a cottagecore lover will likely be aware of the harms of artificially-scented candles and those made with paraffin wax. A 100% beeswax candle with essential oils is the healthiest candle option, and will be much appreciated! My favourite option for one in cottagecore style is a beeswax candle made in a vintage teacup like these ones from Cabin Fever Essentials.

This is also a fantastic DIY project you can do yourself using a thrifted teacup. Each time I visit the thriftstore, I always see beautiful vintage teacups. Most people don’t use teacups in their everyday life, so they are a very common item that is donated. Turning them into a candle is such a great way to repurpose them!
Many additional teacup candle options are available on Etsy. I recommend checking for an option local to you, ideally made with local beeswax. Here are a few options in Canada:
- YYC Beeswax
- Leila’s Gifts
- Lazy Bee By Destiny
- Dana’s Little Treasures (this shop also offers beeswax teacup candle refills, which is quite cool!)
And if those aren’t a good option for you, any beeswax candle is also a great gift. Tapered candles look gorgeous (especially if you paired them with thrifted/vintage candlestick holders)! Here are a few good options I found for other beeswax candles:
- Dutchman’s Gold beeswax candle in glass mason jar
- Great Lakes Woodcraft beeswax candle
- Queen Bee Farms beeswax candles
- Lovebee beeswax candles
- Raven Creek Farm Beeswax Candles
Organic Cotton Throw Blanket
Any cottage home will need plenty of cozy blankets, but how many people can say they have one made out of certified organic cotton?
This organic throw blanket is not only a beautiful knit style that is perfect for cottage style, but it’s made with certified organic cotton too. It gets great reviews, and I would be so excited to receive it as a gift.

Be aware that sometimes product listings will say “organic cotton” in the title, but when you look deeper at the product information, it often isn’t actually certified organic. The ones I’m showing here are only with an organic certification. Here are a few additional styles that are also certified organic:
- House of Elia Blueberry Print organic cotton blanket
- Thread Spread Herringbone organic cotton blanket
- Whisper Organics waffle weave blanket
- Dalisa 100% Organic Turkish Cotton Throw Blanket

Embroidery Kit
The cottagecore aesthetic is not just about things looking pretty, but also about embracing a simpler and more intentional lifestyle. DIY projects, crafts, and tech-free hobbies are definitely part of that! An embroidery kit to create your own cottage style art is a great idea!
There are so many beautiful options for this! The options are truly endless, so you can really select something personalized to what your gift recipient likes. Here are a few I loved from both Amazon and Etsy:

Handmade 100% Merino Wool Socks
Cozy socks are another cottage-style must-have. Merino wool is a fantastic natural fiber. It regulates temperature, is odor-resistant, and is also completely biodegradable. While many people experience itchy skin from regular wool, merino wool is a very fine knit that is very soft.
It is actually quite hard to find socks that are 100% merino wool and not a wool-blend! Here are a few 100% merino wool options I found on Etsy and one Amazon option:
- The Hidden Stichz (multiple colour/style options)
- Nature Wonders Gifts (multiple colour/style options)
- Madore– this pair from Amazon is also 100% merino

Mulberry Silk Eye Mask
For those nights when you’re having trouble falling asleep, or your window coverings just aren’t enough, an eye mask can be a great tool. I love my mulberry silk eye mask and even bring it traveling/camping.

Thrifted Basket with a few goodies listed above inside (tea, book, candle, etc.) OR thrifted items
Thrift stores always have unique baskets for sale. Find one you love and fill it with either a few of the items listed above, or you could add some other thrifted items to it. Some ideas for some cottagecore-style thrifted items would be:
- Vintage candlesticks
- Unique glass bowls or small vases
- Linen or cotton pillow covers, table runners, or napkins
- Small, framed vintage art
- Vintage coasters
I love this adorable gift basket gift idea I found on Pinterest (pictured below). Unfortunately, the original image source was not listed.

Homemade Foaming Hand Soap with Essential Oils
You can definitely embrace a handmade gift for a cottagecore lover! This is such an easy DIY project and would make a lovely gift. I am loving these foaming soap dispensers. Check out all of the hand soap recipes I’ve created here.
To make this you will need a foaming soap dispenser, castile soap, essential oils, and filtered or distilled water. See all the details of how to make it here along with a bunch of essential oil combinations (it’s as simple as combining those ingredients in the soap dispenser).
Add a cute handwritten tag to the dispenser listing the natural ingredients that are in it, and tie it with twine to the neck of the dispenser. Be sure to also include a note to shake the dispenser periodically. You could even make this gift into a “hand soap gift basket” by providing them with castile soap and organic essential oils to refill their dispenser!

Custom Pet Portrait or House Drawing
Authentic oil paintings or vintage art prints are an important aspect to a cottage style home. For any pet parent, there aren’t too many things better than a custom painting of their pet!
And if your gift recipient doesn’t have a pet, a custom painting or drawing of their home is also a great idea. The price point on these can vary quite a bit depending on the style of painting you choose. Make sure to order it well in advance, as it could take weeks for your painting to be completed.

Preserved Evergreen Wreath or Stems
I love the idea of gifting a real winter/Christmas wreath or stems. Someone who loves cottagecore style will love the thoughtfulness of receiving real greenery as opposed to decor made out of plastic. Not only are wreaths and greenery timeless and classic, they also smell amazing. What’s great about gifting a preserved one instead of fresh is that they can last for years with the right care (avoid moisture and direct sun & heat).
I just recently purchased two preserved wreaths from the Etsy seller linked below, and can’t wait to add them to my decor! When it comes to Christmas decor, I’m not sure you can ever have too much greenery. The styling options for wreaths, garlands, and stems are endless. If you decide to gift preserved stems, adding a thrifted vase would complete the gift in a lovely way!

I hope you’ve enjoyed all of these cottagecore gift ideas! Make sure to save this post to Pinterest:
