Want to know one way to have a more successful gar Want to know one way to have a more successful garden? It's by selecting the right plant varieties for your specific microclimate! Not just your growing zone, but the actual *microclimate* of your growing space.

This is why I recommend buying your garden seeds from an independent seller, NOT a big box store. When you buy from local farms or other smaller retailers, you can choose from hundreds of really unique varieties, including heirlooms, organic seeds, and varieties that are proven to perform in your climate and can't be bought at a grocery store❤️

This year, my mom and I ordered all of our new seeds from Hawthorn Farm Organic Seeds- my #fridayfeature this week! They have an amazing selection of 100% organic seeds with so many special varieties. I chose 2 types of tomatoes that are reliable in northern climates, and set fruit even in cooler weather. I'm excited to see how they perform this summer!

If you are needing any seeds this spring/summer, be sure to check them out and support a fellow Canadian organic grower! @hawthornfarmorganicseeds

🌷DIY foaming hand soap for SPRING 🌷 Have yo 🌷DIY foaming hand soap for SPRING 🌷

Have you tried making your own foaming hand soap? It is SO easy and budget-friendly, and is one of the best ways to use essential oils!

We have 3 recipes for you that are perfect for spring! Here's how to make them:

- Fill a foaming soap dispenser 1/3 of the way with unscented castile soap. Next, add your essential oils (see amounts below) & stir to combine. Then fill your dispenser the rest of the way (2/3 of the dispenser) with distilled or filtered water and stir to combine.

These amounts of essential oils are intended for 8 oz of liquid. Increase or decrease the amounts if you are making a different quantity of soap.

Lavender Lemonade:
- 33 drops of lemon
- 20 drops of lavender

Garden Walk
- 30 drops of pink grapefruit
- 15 drops of lavender
- 15 drops of rosemary

Clean Kitchen
- 25 drops of bergamot
- 10 drops of eucalyptus
- 5 drops of juniper berry

Which of these recipes sounds the most appealing to you? We would love to know in the comments!

This week's #fridayfeature showcasing natural bran This week's #fridayfeature showcasing natural brands made in Canada is... Nellie's! They make awesome cleaning products and laundry products.

Plus I'm a sucker for cute packaging, and I love their retro styling! I recommend their dishwasher powder and laundry oxygen brightener ❤️

P.S. I was concerned by the "fragrance" listed on some of their products (which usually indicates artificial fragrance and would be something I do NOT recommend), however, they assured me that they only use natural essential oils for their scents. 🙌

Be sure to check them out for some great natural products made in Canada! @nelliesclean

I've been using Green Beaver products for many years. Their Frosty Mint toothpaste is my go-to natural toothpaste, and I love their castile soap. I use it for so many things, such as making foaming hand soap, spot-treating laundry, and cleaning shoes. I love that it's made with organic cold-pressed Canadian sunflower oil 🌻

They make tons of natural products, such as sunscreen, deodorant, skin care, hair care, and lip balm.
