The Best Non-Toxic Gifts for the Health & Wellness Lover
If you have any lovers of health & wellness that you need to buy a gift for, and who might be as picky as I am when it comes to my household items, this is the gift idea list that you need! Many of these items are actually quite hard to find normally. This list is full of ideas that are both unique and practical, as well as beautiful!
This page contains some affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you, if you purchase through these links. I only recommend products that I LOVE and personally use. Read more here.
This gift list is essentially items that I would absolutely love to receive myself as someone who is very picky and extremely health-conscious (that’s basically the whole point of this website! 😉 ). I’m very careful about all the items I bring into our small home, and I feel confident that these ideas will be appreciated! Some of these items are things I already use myself, and some are ones on my wishlist!
Hey, you might even decide that it’s worth getting some of these items for yourself too and improve your own health at the same time!
Some of the items listed here are from Amazon- this is because of the wide range of options they carry that are hard to find elsewhere. However, I prefer to promote/buy handmade gifts and/or even thrifted, secondhand gifts whenever possible, so I’ve included ideas from other places too!
100% glass coffee tumbler (even the lid!)
Finding a coffee thermos/to-go mug that doesn’t have any plastic is very difficult. This coffee tumbler is 100% glass, even the lid! If using non-toxic items is a top priority, this is a great option. I’m trying to decide if I should purchase one for myself…

Stainless Steel & Ceramic Coffee Tumbler (No plastic!)
Similar to the glass coffee tumbler above, this insulated tumbler does not have a plastic lid! It has a ceramic lid, and the body is stainless steel. This means it will be less breakable, so it’s a little more travel-friendly compared to the 100% glass one. There is a concern with some ceramic glazes containing lead. Because of this, I think the glass one above is a more non-toxic option, however it’s worth considering this one as another great option that is more travel-friendly.
This tumbler comes in many other colours too!

100% stainless steel water bottle (even the inside of the lid!)
For quite some time now, I’ve avoided using plastic water bottles, knowing that it can leach microplastics and other harmful chemicals like phthalates into the water, but recently I found out that the top source of microplastics with plastic water bottles is actually the lid! Each time that lid is twisted on or off, it releases millions of microplastics! This is mainly for disposable bottles, but it made me leery of any plastic lid.
I was sad to realize that even my beautiful Swell stainless steel bottle has plastic on the inside of the lid. Because of this, I began searching for a fully stainless steel water bottle where even the inside of the lid is stainless steel. And I found this one!
What I also love about this bottle is that it is plain, unpainted stainless steel. As much as I love the fun colours of many bottles, this one being unpainted means that the finish won’t wear off or get scratched, so it will be a durable item that should last for many, many years. This one comes in either insulated or uninsulated, and in multiple sizes.

Sunrise alarm clock
These alarm clocks help you wake up easier by gradually turning on a light that stimulates natural sunlight… like the sunrise. And because they are also an alarm clock, this allows you to have your phone in a different room during the night (perfect for anyone who is aware of the health risks of EMF exposure). This is also a great way to break the habit of looking at your phone first thing in the morning.
The price range for this type of alarm clock varies quite a bit. Make sure you don’t buy one that has any “smart” features. This will only increase the level of harmful EMF exposure. Also, some of them are quite ugly, but the two I’ve linked here are quite nice (links: pictured left and pictured right).

100% Natural Yoga Mat and Cork Roller
It’s quite shocking to learn how many toxins are in cheap synthetic yoga mats. They are typically made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or TPE (a plastic-rubber combo). Not only has PVC been shown to be carcinogenic, but it also contains phthalates, which are linked to endocrine disruption, among other things. They may also contain BPA or BPA alternatives, which are also well-known to disrupt hormones.
TPE is often promoted as being a healthier option to PVC mats, and while that is partially true, it is still made from plastics and can contain an unknown amount of toxins. Plastics almost always leach microplastics, as well as synthetic estrogens.
I love the natural yoga mats and products from Scoria, which are made from natural cork and tree rubber. From the Scoria website: “The cork grains are bonded by light, water based eco adhesives to a natural base cloth under high temperature between natural rubber and cork. We use high temperature to make use of the already sticky quality of the natural latex in the rubber. No harsh or unsafe glues are used.”

Organic cotton throw blanket
We all have throw blankets, but how many people can say they have one made out of certified organic cotton?
This organic throw blanket is not only a beautiful knit style that is perfect for the fall & winter, but it’s made with certified organic cotton too. It gets great reviews, and I would be so excited to receive it as a gift.

Be aware that sometimes product listings will say “organic cotton” in the title, but when you look deeper at the product information, it often isn’t actually certified organic. The ones I’m showing here are only with an organic certification. Here are a few additional styles that are also certified organic:
- Thread Spread Herringbone organic cotton blanket
- Whisper Organics waffle weave blanket
- Dalisa 100% Organic Turkish Cotton Throw Blanket

Essential oil shower mist
I love the idea of shower steamers, but in my experience, they’ve often been disappointing because they won’t dissolve properly and end up just kind of sitting there unless I physically hold them under the hot water. Well, that’s why I love these shower sprays! Simply spray a few spritzes into the steam of your shower and enjoy the amazing aromatherapy. They smell so good and the scent lasts for much longer than the shower steamers I’ve tried.

My Favourite Natural Body Lotion
The health & wellness lover in your life will be impressed with the natural ingredients in my favourite body lotion from Pure Anada. It’s handmade in the Canadian prairies, and there are so many scent options that are amazing! This cocoa body butter is highly moisturizing, yet not greasy… a rare combination with natural lotions!
I love the peppermint cream for the Christmas season, but I honestly love every scent they make, which are all made with essential oils or natural flavour oils.
You can buy this lotion along with the shower mist I mentioned above both from Pure Anada’s website (makes it easy to get free shipping!). Do yourself a favour and get one for yourself too!
P.S. Their essential oil bath bombs are amazing too!

Stainless steel cookie sheets (nickel-free)
I’m not sure why these are not more common… I love my stainless steel cookie sheets! They are so easy to clean and are non-toxic. This set is made with 18/0 stainless steel, with the “0” meaning that it does not contain nickel (which is great for anyone with a nickel sensitivity). I love that this set also comes with stainless steel cooling racks. This is for the person who loves to cook and bake!

100% beeswax candles
A well-informed health and wellness connoisseur will be aware of the harms of artificially-scented candles and those made with paraffin wax. A 100% beeswax candle with essential oils is the healthiest candle option, and will be much appreciated by a health-conscious individual! Here are a few good options I found:
- Dutchman’s Gold beeswax candle in glass mason jar
- Great Lakes Woodcraft beeswax candle
- Queen Bee Farms beeswax candles
- Cabin Fever Essentials (this place even has adorable beeswax candles in vintage teacups!)
- Lovebee beeswax candles

Glass essential oil diffuser
I’m going to bet that the health & wellness lover in your life already has an essential oil diffuser. But I’ll bet it’s not a non-toxic glass one! Most essential oil diffusers have a reservoir made entirely out of plastic, and the danger with this is that the oils can degrade the plastic over time, which can then leach chemicals from the plastic. Most plastics contain endocrine-disrupting (hormone disrupting) chemicals like BPA or BPS, microplastics, etc. The plastic reservoirs are also difficult to clean.
These glass diffusers have an interior reservoir that is made mostly of glass. They have a beautiful, timeless look and will be durable and non-toxic!

Organic PLASTIC-FREE tea (free of microplastics)
Did you know that most tea bags leach billions of microplastics into your tea?! Yes, you read that right… I said billions (research link here).
How frustrating it is to think you are doing something healthy for your body, drinking an herbal tea, only to discover you are ingesting microplastics.
One of the easiest ways to combat this is to just use loose leaf tea. Make sure it is organic, and you’ve got a wonderful gift on your hands! There are also multiple brands that make single-use tea bags that are plastic-free. Here are several options for both types:
- Numi Organic Tea- Countdown to Christmas Tea Advent Calendar (plastic-free tea bags)
- Earthly Herbs- Night Symphony Organic Loose Leaf Herbal Tea Blend
- Tea Rituals- Royal Cream Earl Grey Organic Black Tea Loose Leaf Tea
- Yogi Canada Organic Tea Sampler Gift Box (plastic-free tea bags)
- Pukka Organic Herbal Tea (plastic-free tea bags)
- Foothills Naturals Herbal Mocha Organic Loose Leaf Tea
A stainless steel tea infuser or glass teapot would make great non-toxic accompaniments to these teas.

100% Merino wool socks
Merino wool is a fantastic natural fiber. It regulates temperature, is odor-resistant, and is also completely biodegradable. While many people experience itchy skin from regular wool, merino wool is a very fine knit that is very soft.
It was actually quite hard to find socks that were 100% merino wool and not a wool-blend! While they have a simple design, these socks are 100% merino wool.

Mulberry Silk Eye Mask
For those nights when you’re having trouble falling asleep, or your window coverings just aren’t enough, an eye mask can be a great tool. I love my mulberry silk eye mask and even bring it traveling/camping.

A gift card for my services
This is a really unique idea! If you have someone in your life who is trying to get healthier or use healthier products, but needs some help with this, a gift card for my services might be just what this person needs!
I help people switch their everyday items to non-toxic ones. I can help source items that you may be having a hard time finding, or are simply overwhelmed with the options and knowing what’s best. It can be quite time-consuming to switch your belongings to more non-toxic ones, and I can reduce the stress and overwhelm that comes with this. (Or you can use my services to source even more non-toxic gifts.)
