Ever since we moved into our condo that has quartz countertops, I discovered that it can actually be fairly difficult to find cleaning products that are safe to use on them. You hear all the time not to use anything too acidic on them, as this can cause the sealant to become etched. That means no vinegar, which is a popular ingredient in many DIY products and natural cleaners.
I like to use as few cleaning products as possible, so using something that works on my sinks as well as on the countertops is a must. Pair that with making sure all the ingredients are as natural as possible and non-toxic, it can be hard to find good options that check all of the boxes.

So, I’ve done the hard work for you and put together my list of the best options for non-toxic all-purpose cleaners without vinegar! I evaluated all of the ingredients for each one.
It can be difficult to find a product that is a 100% perfect mix of amazing ingredients, good price, easy availability, etc. For that reason, I’ve listed the pros and cons for each product (where applicable) based mainly on the ingredients and price.
While all of the cleaners shown here are safe for sealed stone based on the ingredients, it’s always best to do a spot test in an inconspicuous area just to be safe! I also usually “rinse” the product off with a damp cloth, and then dry it with a dry cloth, as I prefer to ensure there is no remaining residue left on the surface.
Here are my top picks for the best all-purpose cleaners that are safe for sealed stone:
Elva’s All Naturals- 1 CLEANER (All-in-One Cleaner)
I just recently discovered this company, and wow, I am impressed! Their product formulations are actually natural and I love their commitment to making truly safe products. Their all-in-one natural cleaning spray is safe for all solid surface countertops, as well as most other surfaces in your home!
It comes in a refillable amber glass bottle, and bulk refill packages are available to buy. I also love their retro branding! (Using a product that is pretty to look at sure makes cleaning more enjoyable! 😉 )

AspenClean All-Purpose Cleaner
This is an amazing company with truly non-toxic products. They have even received a EWG Verified rating, which is the best possible rating a product can receive with the EWG (Environmental Working Group). This, along with their whole product line, is a great choice to have peace of mind that you’re using a truly non-toxic product.

ATTITUDE Home Essentials All-Purpose Cleaner
This is another all-purpose cleaner that is EWG verified! There are no ingredients of concern in this one. It also comes in a refillable aluminum bottle, which is a nice bonus! Bulk refill packages are available to buy for refilling it. I haven’t tried this one yet, but this Geranium & Lemongrass scent sounds amazing!

Bless Countertop Spray (Cleaning line by Pure Anada)
I started using this one recently and really loved it! I chose the Minty Green scent, and was impressed by how pleasing and refreshing the scent is. Sometimes I find that the essential oils in cleaning products get lost with all of the other ingredients, but this one smelled amazing!

Branch basics all-purpose concentrate
This one has a great, simple formula. Having it be in a concentrate format that you dilute makes it more economical and multi-purpose. I love the values that this company stands for!
This product is a bit hard to get in Canada, but it’s a great choice for those living in the U.S.

Nellie’s All-Purpose Cleaner
Nellie’s is another great company with cute packaging and effective, natural products. While I don’t love the ingredients in all of their products, their all-purpose cleaner is good.

Natura Solutions All-in-One Disinfectant
This is a very simple, natural formula that uses hydrogen peroxide and plant enzymes, which is so much healthier for you than other types of disinfectants. One caveat is that the company doesn’t list the full ingredient list on their website, which is a bit frustrating, so I had to look for the ingredients elsewhere (it’s always better when a company is fully transparent without making things difficult).

Sapadilla Countertop Cleanser
Unfortunately, I found out recently that this company decided to close its doors, so this one is hard to find. However, it is a great choice for natural ingredients, so if you happen to find it, it’s a good one to pick up (I didn’t link to it as it’s best to do an online search to see where it’s still available near you).

Eco max all-purpose Cleaner
This is an affordable natural cleaner with some great options for essential oil scents. It is also widely available at many grocery stores.

Aunt Fannie’s Granite & Stone cleaner
I really love Aunt Fannie’s products. From their natural ingredients to their cute retro packaging, and the values that the company stands for in regards to transparency and natural ingredients. I use their vinegar cleaning wipes for cleaning our toilets, and they are awesome! Most of their products contain vinegar, but their Granite & Stone Cleaner does not.

Nature Clean multi-surface spray
This is another simple, natural formula at a good price point that is also widely available at a lot of grocery stores!

A note on disinfectants
I don’t believe it’s always necessary to use disinfectants to clean your home. These products are definitely overused, and unfortunately can end up doing more harm than good. While they may be necessary in some circumstances, they kill all the bacteria, both good and bad.
It’s important to keep in mind that having some bacteria on your surfaces is actually a good thing. It helps your microbiome to flourish, keeping your skin healthy. Overusing antibacterial agents is leading to drug-resistant bacteria.
In addition, a lot of disinfecting ingredients can be quite harmful to your health. A more natural approach is to use essential oils, which are antibacterial, antiviral, and antimicrobial, and are great for general cleaning. Some studies have even shown them to be more effective at killing certain strains of bacteria and viruses than drugs.
I hope this post has been helpful in finding some natural, non-toxic products to keep your home healthy! Thanks for reading, and be sure to save this post to Pinterest to refer back to!
